Thermal and Solar
Thermal and Solar
To be successful, our clients want to understand all the financial, governmental and business factors as well as the potential benefits solar power technology may provide. The solar array solution most frequently chosen is an on-grid application that shifts the amount of power commercially purchased during high demand to the solar installation.
Below: A commercial solar power plant converts sunlight into electrical energy through the use of photovoltaic cells. Solar Power has a 'bright' future due to the fact that it is an unlimited 'renewable' and environmentally clean energy source.

Frequently our solutions cost justify themselves in a few years, but each installation is unique and specific results vary. Several economic factors have come together to make photovoltaics (PV), a viable way to generate electricity in California today. Automation Solar also does thermal solar, so within the space of a new roof design or a repair, we can help. Current conditions allow businesses of all types to invest in a solar electric system that will pay back handsomely.
Below: A scientist sprays a blue semiconductor mixture onto paper coated with silver cathode dots to demonstrate the ease with which solar cells can be fabricated in the field. Wire electrodes connect the cells to complete the solar array. Solar power from spray paint cans may be the future of low cost solar power.

Specific incentives Thermal and Solar Incentives are:
1. Cash Rebate – made available by the California Public Utilities Commission regulations as part of the governments’ efforts to encourage clean, renewable power generation;
2. Net Metering - an arrangement whereby your utility company allows you to put power onto the
electric grid and take power off the electric grid according to your needs, billing only for the net amount consumed. Many businesses are already taking advantage of net metering.
3. Tax credits for those firms needing to minimize their tax exposure.

These are all great points about advantages to getting a solar power generating system; of course the biggest benefit is obvious... free electricity
