Welcome to roofing and solar forums, we look forward to hearing some different views, and perspectives on both roofing and solar issues, and we hope to also have some good discussion on both topics as well. We hope that eventually we can provide a wide range of information on both roofing and solar subjects so that building owners, both residential and commercial will be able to make intelligent, informed decisions when choosing things such as roof and solar contractors, as well as which type of roof materials to use, or how to select the right contractor to get the job done.

You may have noticed you must be logged in to view this forum. The reasoning for this is simple--we don't want this section indexed by google or other bots, because these are not the pages we want people to find when they perform a google search. In other words, this area is log in only for SEO purposes.

Forum Upgrades: More Foam Roofing Articles Coming Soon

Right now we are working on re-writing all of our existing articles (less than 100 for now), which will soon be complete. Once that is done, we will be adding a few hundred (possibly over 1,000) foam roofing related articles. We are working towards building a large library of in-depth information on polyurethane foam, including studies, reviews, lab tests, comparisons, and installation details. We plan to make this forum into a great & well known polyurethane foam related resource. This is a major on-going project and could take months or years (hopefully just months!)

Foam roofing is our immediate primary focus because it's a reasonably affordable and very green roof product. We are aware of intensive, and extensive green roofs (roofs with grass, trees, schrubs and other vegetation), however, this type of roofing is not practical for most people as has major structural requirements which most existing properties do not meet. However, for any low slope or flat roof, foam roofing is the most ideal solution.

So far, all the general roofing articles have been revised (there are just 10x so far in that forum). We have already started revising articles in the other forums, such as foam roofing, solar electrical, and solar thermal. Once I have made the big content adjustments, I'll make a note here. If anyone has specific questions on subject matter not yet covered, this is an ideal place to ask. If I see unanswered questions, I may be moving them over here to be addressed.
